Phone setup: install and configure Lom Agent
The phone app is called Lom Agent. Work through the steps in order: install, pair with your computer, turn on accessibility, keep it running in the background. Shizuku is optional; with it, restoring permissions and unlocking restricted settings each take one tap.
Before you start
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| System | Android 8.0 or later. Letting the computer see the screen (screenshots) needs Android 11 or later. |
| Computer | Lom installed and signed in (see Quick start). |
| Network | Phone and computer don't need to share a Wi-Fi network; any internet connection works. |
| Number of phones | Free plan: 1. Plans: tier 1 connects 2, tier 2 connects 3, tier 3 connects 5, tier 4 connects 10. Your current limit is shown under Settings → Account → My subscription 我的订阅. |
| Optional | Shizuku: one-tap accessibility repair, restricted-settings unlock, and system-level actions for the phone's agent. |
1 · Download and install
- Open lom.entermodetwo.com/en/ in the phone's browser and tap Get the phone app, or download it on the computer and copy it to the phone.
- Open the downloaded .apk. The first time, Android says installing unknown apps isn't allowed; follow the prompt to allow your browser (or file manager), then continue.
- Xiaomi / Redmi phones may show a security scan; choose to continue installing.
- If an older version is installed, install over it. Don't uninstall first: pairing and the data on the phone are kept.
2 · Pair with your computer
- Computer: open Lom and click the + next to Phone at the top left (or Pair a phone on the new task page). A QR code and an 8-character pairing code appear.
- Phone: open Lom Agent, tap Connect to computer at the top right → Scan QR code, and scan the code on the computer. If scanning doesn't work, choose Pairing code and type the 8 characters (they never include 0, O, 1, I or L).
- Check that the confirmation codes on the computer and the phone match, tick The codes match, then tap Confirm connection.
- When the phone shows Phone paired, a card for it appears on the computer.
3 · Turn on accessibility
Reading the screen, tapping and typing all go through Android's accessibility service. Without it, the computer can only see whether the phone is online; it can't act for you.
- Open the phone's Settings → Accessibility (on Xiaomi / Redmi: Settings → Additional settings → Accessibility) and go to Downloaded apps or Installed services.
- Find Minis Accessibility. This is Lom Agent's accessibility service; its name hasn't been changed yet. Turn it on and confirm.
- Or, in Lom Agent, go to Settings → Permissions and tap Open Accessibility Settings to jump straight there.
The switch is grey and won't move?
Since Android 13, the system locks the accessibility switch for apps installed from an APK ("restricted settings"). This is a system security policy; your installer isn't broken. To unlock it:
- Open the system Settings → Apps → Lom Agent (the app details page).
- Tap ⋮ at the top right → Allow restricted settings, and verify it's you.
- Go back to the accessibility settings; the switch now works.
With Shizuku installed, tap Allow restricted settings via Shizuku in the accessibility row of Lom Agent's Settings → Permissions to unlock it in one step.
Accessibility turned off after a force stop
Every time Android force-stops an app, it revokes that app's accessibility permission, and it doesn't come back by itself. Turn the switch on again. With Shizuku installed, Lom Agent offers Repair accessibility permission; one tap fixes it.
4 · Keep the phone online
With the screen off or the app in the background, the system may cut Lom Agent's connection. In the connection menu at the top right of Lom Agent, tap each of these in turn:
- Keep connected in the background (recommended) 允许后台保持连接(推荐), then choose Allow in the system dialog (this adds Lom Agent to the battery optimization allowlist).
- Turn on autostart 开启自启动, then enable Lom Agent in the Xiaomi / Redmi autostart list.
- Background and battery settings 后台与电池设置, then set the battery policy to Unrestricted.
On most Chinese Android skins you can also lock Lom Agent in the recent apps screen so a one-tap cleanup won't close it. The connection status on the phone shows Online, Connecting… or Offline, reconnecting.
5 · Shizuku (optional, recommended)
Shizuku lets ordinary apps call Android system APIs without root. Once it is installed and authorized for Lom Agent, you can:
- restore an accessibility permission the system turned off, in one tap;
- allow restricted settings in one tap, without hunting for the app details page;
- let the phone's agent perform ADB-level actions such as installing apps, granting permissions and changing system settings. Each use asks you first (allow once / always allow this session / deny).
Download Shizuku
When this guide was written (2026-10-16) the latest version was v13.6.0. On the GitHub page, download and install the file ending in .apk. Official setup guide: shizuku.rikka.app/guide/setup.
You can also use the compatible AXManager, or on a rooted phone, Sui (a Magisk / KernelSU module that survives reboots). Any one of the three is enough. With AXManager, also turn on the switch under its Settings → AX-Permission Intercept.
Start Shizuku (Android 11 and later, no computer needed)
- Turn on developer options: on Xiaomi / Redmi, tap OS version (or MIUI version) seven times under Settings → My device → All specs; on most other brands, tap Build number seven times under About phone.
- In Developer options, turn on Wireless debugging (you need to be on Wi-Fi).
- Open Shizuku, choose Start via Wireless debugging → Pairing, and enter the pairing code the system shows, from the notification.
- Once paired, tap Start and check that Shizuku says it is running.
- Back in Lom Agent's Settings → Permissions, open the Privileged Backend row to reach the Shizuku page, tap Authorize Minis (this authorizes Lom Agent), and allow it in the dialog. When the status reads ready, you're done.
6 · Models, persona and skills
The computer decides which model the phone's agent uses: select the phone on the computer and pick a model at the bottom-right of the input box (phones default to Lom Mini). The model address and key are sent to the phone, encrypted, only when they change.
Persona (SOUL.md), memory, skills and scheduled tasks can all be managed from the computer: switch to Phone at the top left, select the phone, and open the matching page in the sidebar. Changes sync both ways with the phone.
7 · Change phones or unpair
On the phone: connection menu at the top right → Unpair. On the computer: revoke it under Settings → Permissions & security → Pairing authorizations. After unpairing, the computer can no longer direct the phone; the sessions, skills, persona and memory on the phone are kept.
Third-party phone app: Mika
Besides the official Lom Agent, you can use the Lom edition of Mika on an Android phone. It is a modification of the open-source project Mika (Apache-2.0) that adds the ability to pair with Lom Desktop and keeps the original author's credit. It is not released by the original author.
- Download the package from the Mika section of the home page and compare the SHA-256 and signing-certificate fingerprint shown there before installing. It can be installed alongside the original Mika.
- On the computer, click the “+” next to “Phone” to show a QR code, scan it with Mika and confirm the connection on the phone.
- After pairing, the computer asks the phone which features it implements and shows only the entries that phone really supports. Unsupported ones (for example skills, schedule editing, sub-agents, document editing and attachments) are hidden or greyed out instead of failing when clicked. What you can use depends on what Mika reports.
- Once paired, Mika can be a phone member of an OPC team: the leader assigns work to it and the result returns to the leader through the phone's receipt. @-mentioning a phone member directly in the team group chat and showing phone progress there is coming soon.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The phone shows "Offline, reconnecting" | Check the phone's network, make sure all three settings in step 4 are on, and open Lom Agent once. |
| "This code has expired" | Refresh the QR code on the computer and scan again. |
| "This phone belongs to another account" | Unpair on the phone first, then pair with the new account. |
| The computer can't see the phone's screen | You need Android 11+ with accessibility on. Protected screens such as banking and payments can't be captured; the system blocks it. |
| The accessibility switch is grey | See restricted settings above. |
| Control stops working after a while | The system's battery saver probably killed the app; set up step 4. If accessibility was turned off, restore it here. |
