Quick start

Lom has two parts: Lom on your computer is the commander, and Lom Agent on your phone does the hands-on work. Install the desktop app first, then connect a phone. You can be up and running in about ten minutes.

About the interface languageLom's interface is in Chinese by default. To switch it, open Settings → General → Interface language and choose English. A few screens are still Chinese-only, so these docs show the Chinese label in grey next to the English one where that helps you find it.

How it fits together

Desktop · Lom

This is where you state goals and see results. It reads and writes files in the work folder you choose, directs your phones, and can hand work to desktop agents such as Codex CLI.

Phone · Lom Agent

Installed on an Android phone and paired with your computer by QR code. It reads the screen, taps, opens apps, and can run tasks on its own.

Cloud relay

Computer and phone connect even when they are on different networks. Messages are end-to-end encrypted; the relay only forwards ciphertext.

Credits and plans

Built-in models (Lom Pro / Max / Mini) are paid with credits; models with your own key bill your own account. Your plan sets how many phones you can connect.

1 · Install the desktop app

Mac

  1. Download the .dmg from the home page, open it and drag Lom into Applications. You need Apple silicon (M1 or newer) and macOS 11 or later.
  2. Double-click to open it. If macOS says the app is damaged and can't be opened or that it can't verify the developer, or nothing happens at all: open Terminal (search for "Terminal" in Launchpad or Spotlight), paste the line below, press Return, then double-click the app again.

    The command only removes the quarantine flag macOS puts on downloaded files. It needs no password and changes no other settings.
  3. Prefer not to use a command? Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, find Lom near the bottom of the page and click Open Anyway. See the FAQ.

Windows

  1. Download the .exe installer from the home page and double-click it. It installs for the current user and needs no admin rights. You need Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit).
  2. If you see "Windows protected your PC", choose More info → Run anyway. If there is no such button or nothing happens, use the one-line command in the FAQ.

2 · Sign in

Click Sign in with HEANG. Once you've signed in in the browser, you return to the app automatically. You can also continue with Google or GitHub. No account yet? Register first.

Your credits appear in the bottom-left corner. Credits pay for built-in models and paid skills; click your avatar → Add credits to enter a redeem code. Phones never sign in: once paired they belong to this account and share its credits.

3 · Pick a model

ModelNotes
Lom ProThe commander's default, for reasoning and creative work. Available once you sign in; billed in credits.
Lom MaxThe strongest, for complex long tasks.
Lom MiniThe phone default: fast and light on credits.
Your own keySettings → Models & credits → Add model: DeepSeek, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Qwen, Zhipu GLM, Kimi, SiliconFlow, Volcano Ark, OpenRouter, or any OpenAI-compatible API. Uses no credits. The key is encrypted on your computer and never uploaded to Lom's servers.

Switch models any time from the bottom-right of the input box. Lom Pro and Max read images directly; models that can't will ask Lom Pro to look at images for them (billed in credits).

4 · Run your first task

  1. Click New task on the left (⌘N).
  2. Choose a work folder above the input box. Lom only reads and writes files inside it.
  3. Choose a permission level: Ask each time (asks before running commands or changing files), Auto-edit files, Full auto or Read-only planning.
  4. Write what you want and press Enter. The Workspace on the right shows the web pages, documents and files as they are made.
  5. To stop, click the stop button at the bottom-right of the input box or press Esc.

5 · Connect a phone

Install Lom Agent on your Android phone. On the computer, click the + next to Phone to show a QR code, then scan it with the phone. After pairing you also need to turn on accessibility and keep the app running in the background; Phone setup walks through every step.

Once connected, tick the phones under Phones in this task on the new task page, then try "What screen is Phone 1 on right now?" or "Have Phone 2 open Meituan and check today's deals."

You can also use a third-party phone app: the Lom edition of the open-source project Mika pairs the same way. Download it from the Mika section of the home page; pairing and feature notes are in Phone setup. To build your own phone app, read Phone agent integration (developers).
